23 hardy souls braved the rain on sunday, 4th March, for Surbiton's Winter One-ball and heat of the charity One-ball championship.
The early leader was Phil Eardley, a visitor from Ipswich, who was master of ceremonies at the previous evening's annual quiz. However, he fell at the last hurdle against the ever-consistent Sam Murray, with Martin Seidel finishing with six wins a row to snatch second.
Both Sam and Martin qualify for the final, at Winchester, on 12th May. £115 was raised for the Breast Cancer Campaign.
