Despite overnight rain, the match was played in fair weather, and the lawns were of meduim pace.
Parson's Green brought a team with a wide range of handicaps, whilst Surbiton fielded an experienced line-up.
Surbiton took the lead in the morning, with a win in the doubles, whilst the singles matches were shared, each going with the lower handicapped player.
Surbiton completed the victory by winning three of the four afternoon singles matches.
A pleasant lunch and tea were enjoyed, although the captain failed to notice in time that the treacle tart required 35 minutes in the oven! It now resides in the freezer in Surbiton, and is available for future fixtures as required.
