Surrey represented by Don Beck, Howard Cheyne, Nelson Morrow , Dick Knapp (all Surbiton members) and Mike Town (Woking) once again won the Golf Croquet Inter-Counties. This is the third year in succession that Surrey have left Sussex County Croquet Club with the trophy. It does not get easier as there was a record number of A class players competing , many of whom will be seen at Surbiton next year in the World Golf Croquet Championship.
Leicestershire pushed Surrey all the way winning the same number of matches against other counties but coming second with a games difference of 21 against Surrey's 25. kent were a close third.
