With a strong field consisting of 16 players scratch or better, the competition this year was expected to be tight.

Early running was made by the top-ranked players, with Mark Avery and Jeff Dawson, Samir Patel and Chris Farthing racing to an early lead. The Swiss format quickly saw them playing each other and brought the rest of the field back into contention, but while Chris had an unexpected loss to Malcolm Bigg, the others held firm and were joined by Andrew Johnson to lead the field overnight.

Play on Sunday found the top seeds in more tight games, with it looking like Samir's SXP would put him ahead in the peeling points tie-break. However, Malcom Bigg had other ideas, and was continuing from his win over Chris with further steady, if not specatular, wins over Andrew Johnson and then Samir Patel to claw himself to 83% wins and the title.

79 games resulted in 16 TPs, 1 TPO (Andrew Johnson), 1 SXP (Samir Patel) and 2 STPs (both by Paul Castell).

*** Final Standings ***

1. 83% Malcolm Bigg
2. 77% Samir Patel (37 peeling points)
3= 75% Mark Avery (16 peeling points)
3= 75% Jeff Dawson (16 peeling points)
5. 75% Paul Castell (8 peeling points)
