Reduced entries for a tournament in mid-August meant that the event had to be drawn up as a round robin in two divisions rather than smaller blocks, without finals.
The weather was kind, and spirits high.
Despite extraordinarily close-fought contests (every player in the lower handicap division ended up with either 2 or 3 wins), two worthy winners emerged, in the shape of Surbiton's own Gavin Taylor and Rose Gebhardt. Congratulations to both.
