The June GC One Day Singles was hotly contested in sultry Surbiton with 22 players competing in 2 Blocks. A light sprinkling of rain did stop some players but the hardy fought on playing 3 games before lunch and 2 after.
Everyone enjoyed cake and ice creams while watching the finals which featured the top 2 players of each block.
Martin Burger best Ian Rees in a close match that belied the 7:4 result, while Thom Braun snatched victory over, the then unbeaten, Ian Taylor.
